Loris Vergier wins men’s qualifying in Lourdes

29ers show their worth

The Santa Cruz 29ers finally showed their hand in qualifying as Loris Vergier went fastest and Luca Shaw third.

Vergier was sixth down the hill and his time of 2:2:52.684 never came close to beaten. Splitting the Syndicate members was Loic Bruni with a time of 2:53.106, just 0.1 ahead of Luca Shaw.

Greenland can only look on. What does he have to do? Machine?

World Champion Danny Hart was fourth with a 2:53.329 and Aaron Gwin fifth on 2:53.992.
