The daddy of downhill, Dr Steve Peat has taken the win at the Andorra World Cup by 0.02 seconds over Gee Atherton. Greg Minnaar took third place ahead of Mick Hannah, who set the pace early on despite having a major crash earlier in the weekend. Minnaar took the hot seat from Hannah by just 0.25 of a second as all eyes turned to the hill. Peaty tore through the top section and was clearly faster at the halfway split, flying over the rock drop, looking smooth and composed. Blasting out of the woods, he crossed the line 1.41 seconds up on Minnaar, a big margin on such a short track. With more World Cup wins than anybody in the history of the sport, Peaty is sitting pretty at the top of the overall after the first three races of the season.

Sam Hill clocked in 1.6secs up after the top section and looked to be pushing it beyond the limits, and he did, going down and taking himself out of the running.
