In qualifying yesterday we had 6 British riders in the top 15, Gee Atherton (1), Steve Peat (5), Ben Cathro (9), Marc Beaumont (10), Josh Bryceland (11) Joe Smith (14). Pretty good result.
Here’s Ben Cathro who qualified 9th yesterday, with todays weather in the background….
And here’s today’s forecast from AcuWeather.
So it looks like it should be dry for the women with rain at 2pm for the early male starters, then stopping at 3pm when Brendan Fairclough leaves the start hut with the rest of the top 22 riders after him in the dry.
Just after Gee crosses the line it’s due to rain again.
That’s if the weather does what it says above. But expect random showers and wind squalls at any time.
Whatever it’s going to be a super exciting day. Full start times here.
Finally, heres a picture of me being a computer monkey, with a can of Monster and a Doughnut. A typical press room breakfast! (Editor:And he wonders why he’s hyperactive all day long!)
