Finn Iles has taken the win at the first round of the 2016 UCI World Cup out in Lourdes, France.
The sun is out, with some clouds dotted around, but the course is beaten up to hell, very physical, greasy and sticky in places (but drying). Canadian Finn Iles (and first year Junior) raced to victory winning by 1.5 seconds from a storming Matt Walker. Frenchman, and winner of qualifying, Kevin Marry posted the fastest times on all three splits but then went ‘off the radar’ and crashed out in the final section. We hope is OK.
Here’s the top five:
1. Finn Iles: 3:32.269
2. Matt Walker: 3:33.828
3. Nikolas Nestoroff: 3:35.449
4. Gaetan Vige: 3:39.244
5. Jackson Frew: 3:39.713
