The titanic battle between Matt Walker and Finn Iles for domination in the juniors continues as Iles qualified fastest in Vallnord by just 0.2 seconds.
Walker was fastest in almost every sector but blew a 1.3 second lead towards the bottom with a mistake. The two are now establishing themselves as a class apart from the rest of the field with Kade Edwards as the next fastest rider over six seconds back.
After Edwards it was another seven seconds before you got to Sylvain Cougoureux in fourth with Max Hertenstern rounding out the top five.
There are no overall points for qualifying in the juniors so it really does come down to tomorrow for these guys but as it stands, Iles and Walker are simply blowing the field apart – we wouldn’t be surprised if these times placed in the top twenty in Elites.
