Aaron Gwin has qualified first by more than a second in Lenzerheide.
Gwin has never won on this course but he put himself forwards as a strong favourite for tomorrow with a time that only just missed the three minute mark.
Second place went to Troy Brosnan who comes into the race off the back of his win in Vallnord. He was only a tenth back from his former team-mate at the second split but dropped backwards as the run continued.
Third was Greg Minnaar for the Syndicate who is still within touch and less than two seconds back, especially on a track that suits the smooth riders like him.
There’s a big jump after the top three of around two and a half seconds back to Loic Bruni in fourth, with fellow Frenchie Loris Vergier hot on his heels in fifth.
