Brook MacDonald returns to MS Mondraker

With Mike Jones rounding off the team

Brook MacDonald and Mike Jones will be racing alongside Laurie Greenland for MS Mondraker in 2018.

Brook MacDonald is returning after five years away from the team. His penultimate World Cup in MS colours saw him take his first win at Val d’Isere, breaking up a stagnant run of 12 World Cups shared between Aaron Gwin and Greg Minnaar.

Brook left the team to join Trek (with Lauire Greenland) and then moved to GT but is now returning to the team after five seasons away. He said: “I am beyond stoked to be back joining MS Mondraker, a team where my career really kicked off. I’m excited to be going back to my old roots and I’m ready to create some new memories and some more podiums on a proven bike.”

Also joining Brook will be Mike Jones who chose not to follow the rest of the Chain Reaction team in moving to enduro. It’s a big move for Jones who endured a tough season last year with injury but managed to rescue it with a podium in Mont Sainte Anne.

He said: “I have high hopes for the season ahead and the prospect of being on board the race-winning Summum encourages me to further show my potential and gain the results I know I can achieve.”

With Laurie completing the line up there’s a hell of a lot of potential on this new look Mondraker team that we’re tipping to be the surprise package of the season. Danny who?
