Aaron Gwin goes fastest in Mont Sainte Anne men’s qualifiers

By over three seconds

Aaron Gwin put down a storming run in the men’s qualifiers to finish top of the heap by more than three and a half seconds. He was the only rider to post a time under four minutes with a run more than eight seconds faster than anyone went in timed training. Gwin was ahead at every split and also fastest through the speed trap at a colossal 75.590 kmh (47mph).

Second was Danny Hart with yesterday’s fastest rider, Troy Brosnan, in third. Greg Minnaar and Gee Atheton rounded out the top five.

It look like Loic Bruni was on a flyer but had a problem. He finished 90th but will still qualify as a protected rider.
