Will Longden and Katy Curd are the new British 4X National Champions following weekend of racing in the most challenging tracks Southwest Extreme.
Chris Roberts just sent over the news:
In the Final race of the day its was defending champion and fastest qualifier Scott Beaumont in gate 1 Scott Roberts gate 2, Will Longden gate 3 and Nathan Parsons in gate 4, the track had been riding fast all day with the long start straight mean it was all play for to get the inside line for the first right hander corner.
Beaumont and Longden both got the snap and had a coming together just before the first corner which put Beaumont out of contention and off the track, it was down to 2nd fastest qualifier Scott Roberts to take second place from Nathan Parsons in 3rd.
In the girls Katy Curd followed on from her Rd5 win the day before to take the title and medal to add her growing collection of world cup medals.
Katy will be flying off to America for the last round of the World Cup before heading for Mount Saint Anne for the 4X World Championships in September.
The racing was close all day on this new track that has been completely rebuilt of the winter by Will Evans. Great feed back from all riders means a return to South West Extreme next year.
