If you fancy a taste of the mtb media squid life, then we may have the opportunity for you! We’re after an intern to come and show us their skills and get an insight into how running a digital publication like Dirt works. It’s the dream job for anyone who spends their nights watching edits and geeking out over the newest kit.
You’ll be based in our London offices writing stories, conducting interviews, helping out on editorial projects and learning about the day-to-day running of the mag. We’ll be paying for your transport (within reason) and giving you an allowance for lunch too, so you won’t be out of pocket for the experience either.
It should be a great experience for you and we promise to give you plenty of interesting work to crack on with (we’re not just after a cheap tea boy/girl).
It’s a two-week opportunity and you’ll be spending your time in our offices in Clapham (ten minutes’ walk from Clapham Common, five minutes from Wandsworth Road). You’ll be expected to do a full working day for two weeks, 9-5:30.
The ideal candidate will need to be 18 or over, based in the South East, a keen writer and willing to get stuck in to whatever tasks they’re set. We want someone who’s mountain bike mad, confident on social media and a fast, organised worker.
Some other qualities that are desirable but not essential are photography/videography skills (including Photoshop and Premiere Pro), experience using WordPress or other CMS, relationships within the bike industry and some form of journalism education.
If this sounds like the role for you then send a brief introduction, a CV and some examples of your written work to [email protected] before March 14. We’re expecting this to be a popular opportunity so try to make yourself stand out. Don’t be disheartened if we don’t chose you this time, we’re hoping for these opportunities to become more regular in future.
