Wakatipu Shore: Final Episode

The final episode from the lads at Wakatipu Shore New Zealand.

Big shouty thanks to the Wakatipu Shore guys for keeping us entertained (and slightly jealous) over the Winter with their wacky antics from the land of the Kiwis! Thanks guys!

This episode sees the last few weeks in the WS house. Andy, Stout, Paver and Ben are tearing up some of Queenstown’s best DH and trail rides, as well as a cuttie competition that was bound to end up in somebody’s wheel being trashed. Adrian Loo has taken up semi-professional Lugeing after destroying his ACL at Dunedin Nats.

The last couple of months have been busy times. With National races taking us all around the place for weekends of riding and partying. There has been some extra BMX action with Queenstown “popping the cherry” on the Red Bull Roast IT jam. The jam saw the best of the best come from all around the world to compete for fame and glory. As well as get the true “kiwi experience”.

The last couple weeks also saw the largest bmx, mtb and fmx jam in New Zealand take place, welcome to Farm Jam. This year saw a spanner in the works and Farm Jam bmx and mtb was unfortunately cancelled due to poor weather, leaving hundreds of bourbon fuelled boguns disappointed. The freestyle moto half still aroused the majority of the crowd. Along with the moto boys the dirt jumpers still put on a show to keep the crowd happy. Cmac was showing he is one of the best in the country, throwing down some cliffhangers and his usual shenanigans. The latest Czech import staying at the Wakatipu house, Tomas Zejda, showed some of his “perfect” super whips along with his dialed style! The BMX was crazy as usual, tricks seen everywhere from 1 handers to flipwhips!

Conor got confused if he was in the Motorcross or Mtb comp. Either way this is a sick trick on both bikes.

This will be the last episode from the Wakatipu Shore house as Adrian and Ben head off for studying, rooting and drinking at Uni. While Conor’s interest in rocks have seen him continue his studies with Geography.

The boys on good form as per usual.

The British boy band abroad Andy, Paver and Stout, head on the road around the North Island Oceania’s in a trusty $500 1983 Nissian Vanette. They have decided to represent the Oceania Nation of Europe at the upcoming Rotorua Oceania Championships. (edit Paver fell down the hill to get 3rd place in senior!). Robbie is still engulfed into the dark, moist depths of Queenstown’s nightlife looking forward to an overdose of white powder this winter.

The summer has been a good one and we are sad to see it go. That’s to everyone who made it an epic summer and we will see you all again next year!

All good things must come to an end, just like Adrians truck did on the last 4wd mission. RIP Truck
