Vienna Air King 2015 banger gallery
With the World Cup downhill season kicking off at the start of this month and the mayhem that ensued the Vienna Air King slipped under our noses! Luckily we have got a belter of a gallery from Szymon Nieborak who was on the ground at this festival of dirt jumping in Austria’s capital city. This year is the 10th Vienna Air King and as is now tradition it went off in style, the sun was out, the crowds were huge and the jumps were as bonkers as usual. Brett Rheeder wasn’t there to defend his title from 2014 so things were wide open for the field of riders to compete for this big prizes.
According to our man on the ground there were a lot of new faces taking on the course but no one stood out like the eventual winner Nicolai Rogatkin. Antione Bizet was flying high and Thomas Genon pulled a double flip in qualifying to step the level of riding up. For some of the big name riders their finals run didn’t go to plan but for Rogatkin everything did, his signature cash roll came out of the trick bag along with a huge backflip 360 and a double tail whip. The American managed to walk away from the event with both the overall win and best trick for his efforts, not a bad weekend!
