Troy Brosnan unveils Canyon Factory Downhill Team bike

Phwoar

Yesterday Canyon filed the biggest news of the off season as they unveiled their brand new downhill team.

Just hours later, Troy Brosnan has posted a picture of the stealthy Canyon Sender frame they’ll be riding on this year. It’s a bloody beauty.

He said on Instagram: “Oh baby!”

This has to be one of the most gorgeous bikes on the circuit with its sleek, black lines only broken by the bright Mavic wheels, Maxxis logos, Renthal bars and Vivid Coil.

Interestingly Troy is running a coil shock on his Sender.  When we first saw the bike, lead engineer Vincent Thoma emphasised that the Sender was not designed around a coil because there was “not enough progressivity at the end of the travel”. Darren Berrecloth also fitted a coil shock to his Rampage Sender, we wonder what has prompted Troy to fit one in this instance?

Troy spent most of last year on mad, custom frame designs but to be honest, we think this is the sexiest bike he’s ridden to date. We’ve heard he’s racing it for the first time this weekend, let’s hope it’s as fast as it looks!
