Tragic Machining Death at Straitline

Greg Parish was found dead Saturday morning twisted up inside a CNC lathe after a gruesome accident.

Straitline has lost a well respected and loved member of the team in an odd and unfortunate accident in their Sidney BC facility.

The company’s marketing Director was found mutilated inside a Doosan machine after an apparent attempt at machining a new part.

At the time details around what happen are unclear but it appears that he died trying to make a spiraled part on a machine he clearly had nor time or experience on.

Questions are quickly rising around Greg’s death putting his relationship with Jack Fogelquist under scrutiny. Jack, a recent member to the Nuke Proof team, had become harder than normal to keep happy, demanding more custom stuff for his bikes.

Greg believed in Jack and had started to see Jack’s vision, taking them a bit too seriously.

Within the last weeks of Greg’s life there had seen a spike in emails and phone calls between the two. Straitline Components had warned that this relationship and deemed the new part foolish and dangerous, this simply furthered Greg’s passion unknowingly signing his fate later that week.

Local RCMP are looking further into this relationship and are questioning a series of drawings and photo’s sent to Greg from Jack. Photos that might shed some light on Greg’s finals moments.

As seen in the photo below, Jack had been designing what he wanted. Greg, sharing his lust for unicorns attempted to make a real one, a decision that has now taken his life.

Dennis Paulson from Straitline Components released the following statement – “Greg’s death was an unfortunate incident however Greg’s stupidity has now left us without a marketing person so we are hiring! We don’t really care about marketing experience, but it would be nice to find someone that at least knows that a Unicorn horn has a clockwise spiral!”

Until the truth comes we only know one thing for sure… another good man is dead from getting caught up in the dark powers of the Unicorn!

A memorial won’t be held for Greg, enjoy the week.
