When we came up with the concept to document riders that put it all on the line for their love of the sport, we wanted to highlight the dedication and commitment shown by those that don’t have it easy, don’t have big money backers and yet, because of their love for mountain biking they’ve found a way to pursue their passion.
When discussing who we’d like to feature, Adam Brayton was top of our list. Not only has he had his fair share of obstacles in the form of injuries, these injuries have hindered his ability to secure backing. And yet, through his personality, positive attitude and not to mention standout sections in Earthed 5 and DirtTV’s Finally 2, he’s become one of the most widely known faces on the scene.
Fresh off a win at the last round of the British Downhill Series in Innerleithen, against a stacked field of World Cup contenders, Adam finally realized the potential that’s been simmering under the surface. And so just a few weeks later Keswick’s very own Mr Gas to Flat headed up to the first round of the 2013 World Cup at Fort William.
It goes without saying that we’ll be seeing Adam killing it on a bike in the near future and maybe even showing a few of the ‘big names’ a thing or two along the way.
