Taylor Vernon and Rudy Cabirou join Unior Tools Team

Vernon won't be feeling blue with his new move

Taylor Vernon will continue riding on a Trek Session in 2017 as he makes the hop from Trek Factory Racing to the Unior Tools team.

The 20 year old embarks on his third elite season in new blue colours and will no doubt be hoping to improve on his best ever season last year. Vernon capped off the year with a 29th in Mont Sainte Anne and a 26th in Vallnord. He will no doubt be looking to continue his charge on the top 20 as he replaces Ruaridh Cunningham on Unior.

After storming through the junior ranks Vernon openly admits he’s had a slow start to his elite career but he will be looking to make a statement with a new team and coach behind him.

Also on the team next year is Rudy Cabirou, who established himself as a top 40 rider with a number of strong performances racing alongside Florent Payet on Voul Voul Racing – most memorably a tenth at Lourdes in 2015.

Vernon said: “This is new beginning for me –  with fresh faces, fresh atmosphere, fresh setup and great people. Its amazing to continue partnership with Trek Bicycles where I continue to race the Session 9.9. I’m particularly excited to start working with SRAM as I have always been a big fan of their products and it will be cool to build up a new relationship with those guys.”
