We just caught wind of a fun-sounding event going down this weekend in Tavistock, Devon. Bike jousting anyone? If that doesn’t sound like fun then there’ll be plenty of other bike-related activities including… racing for FREE!

Tavi Woodlands Summer Jam 2014

This weekend see’s the 8th annual Gawton Gravity Hub Summer jam and Club champs race at Tavistock Woodlands, near Tavistock Devon.

The jam kicks the weekend off from 10am on Saturday, it’s free to attend and ride and there is plenty to keep you entertained and prizes to win throughout the day including:

Demo bikes from Kona, the Klunker Challenge (timed runs on Transition Bikes’ least technologically advanced bike!), the thrilling and slightly insane speedtrap (can you beat last years record?). We also have bike jousting, a massive sound system and the infamous Woodland Riders Racing catering van on site.

Sunday sees the club champs race. Unlike Saturday you do have to be a member of Gawton Gravity Hub if you want to be counted in the results, but your race entry is FREE! (If you aren’t a member you can join on the day.)

Camping is available on Saturday night in a field on site, bring your own tent, bbq and good times!
