Tahnée Seagrave (read our story about her and FMD Racing here) is supporting Breast Cancer Awareness charity Coppafeel! through this fantastic sounding competition running thanks to her and her sponsors. Coppafeel! Tahnée Seagrave Competition

At the start of the 2015 season, Tahnée Seagrave decided that she wanted to raise awareness of some kick-ass young people. She decided that she wanted to raise money for a Breast Cancer Awareness charity CoppaFeel!, a charity her and the FMD Racing team felt that although they help people of all ages, they are devoted to ensuring young people start the life long habit of checking their boobs, which could save their life one day.

Tahnée asked all of her sponsors if they would get involved and was humbled by the amount of support they offered. Not only have some generously offered products, some have even made limited edition parts especially made for this campaign – it has been great!

 #COPPARIDE was born!

With 25 days to go and over 10 great prizes to WIN, FMD Racing will be announcing prizes every few days. This is sure to be the biggest mountain bike competition of all time! Tahnée’s custom race bike will unveiled at Fort William – this too can be won! So you will have your chance to #copparide

Tahnée Seagrave: 

Arguably one of the most exciting female downhill mountain bike racers in the world thanks to her athleticism and style. 2014 was her first elite year racing alongside the world’s greatest and most established women in the sport, but that did not stop her taking her place on the podium at multiple races and the World Championships. 2015 is set to be another exciting year with her experience growing, she’s sure to be taking her place on the top stop very soon and achieve that lifetime ambition of becoming elite World Champion.

CoppaFeel! aims to stamp out late detection and misdiagnosis of breast cancer by ensuring that people know the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, know what their boobs look and feel like normally, check their boobs regularly throughout their lifetime and have the confidence to seek medical referral when they detect abnormalities. Currently 5% of diagnosed cases are already at stage IV with breast cancer being the secondly most commonly diagnosed cancer in women under 30 in the UK (181 new cases diagnosed and 12 deaths annually) CoppaFeel! Strives for a country where no one dies of breast cancer because of late detection or misdiagnosis. The charity was founded by Kris Hallenga, who herself was diagnosed with late stage breast cancer in 2009, at the age of 23.

What’s happening?

As a sporting ambassador for the national breast cancer awareness charity, CoppaFeel!, Tahnée brings you #COPPARIDE – An exciting competition, with the aim of spreading the coppafeel.org message to a new audience. At this years UCI World Cup in Fort William Tahnée is giving away her one-off limited edition race bike, the kit she races in and a multitude of prizes; kindly donated, purchased and custom made by her sponsors for the campaign.

By purchasing a wristband, you will be given a unique number and will be entered into the prize draw with ALL PROCEEDS going to CoppaFeel.

Tahnée will draw the numbers from a hat after her race at the Fort William World Cup. There are only be 5000 numbers so there’s a great chance of winning. In the run up to the event, FMD Racing will share pictures on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram of the prizes you can win – with her Limited Edition Race Bike being revealed at the race.
