STOLEN: MULTIPLE BIKE THEFTS AT UKGE TRISCOMBE

Scum strike again. We were sad to hear the news that multiple bikes were stolen at the weekend at UK Gravity Enduro Round 1 at Triscombe, Somerset.

Ben Plenge got in touch with details of the theft and his bike which was among a large number (17 we’ve heard?) that were stolen. Here’s the lowdown:

“UK Gravity Enduro Round 1 Triscombe. Early hours of Sunday morning a well organised gang of thieves struck the event. The organiser, Steve Parr, lost all of his MDE demo bikes. The Whyte Enduro team lost three of their race bikes. I lost my Lapierre Spicy that was locked to the back of the van. They cut the lock!

Another 3-4 bikes went from individuals, although I don’t have the exact specs and details. They are on the UKGE Facebook feed.

There were no witnesses and nobody even heard anything. The only evidence was the number boards that were found dumped in a bush down the road. The cops have them and will try and get prints from them.

It seemed quite professional and they will probably break them up and spread out the parts.”

Ben’s bike:
