The talk of the town is the tussle between the top three men, but there is also an exciting battle for the womens overall.
Rachel is 113 points up on Sabrina and 166 on Tracy so it’s still a three way fight.
Rachel admitted that she hasn’t yet done the “math” so isn’t quite sure what position is needed for the overall.
Sabrina seemed to be having fun on the track today. I haven’t seen Tracy yet due to the random nature of the pit layout.
The pit set up in Schladming is a weird one, with teams even pitting in peoples front gardens. Tomac don’t like to blow their own trumpet and are quite happy to set up next to a big yellow one.
Yeti first set up camp in the pretty municipal flower bed, but later had to move when the council wanted to do some weeding.
The Athertons are bang in front of the gondola which is good news, the bad news is their neighbours are a giant inflatable boom box. They are preparing for the inevitable onslaught of Austrian techno.
Finally the behemoth that is the MS Intense pit is complete. Apparently if you laid all the steel poles end to end they would form a line to the moon and back.
If you want to become a true Austrian then you can buy a ready made kit for 200 Euros, which includes Lederhosen, some Schnitzel and Apfelstrudel plus two tickets to the Sepp and Co show below.
