Saracen are delighted to announce the title sponsorship of the 2013 British Downhill Series.
The British Downhill Series is a world-class event that has for many years been a breeding ground for a wealth of British talent, helping riders make the transition from the national to world stages with consummate ease.
The BDS is British Cycling’s National Series for Downhill Mountain Biking and all of us at Saracen are incredibly proud to be able to support this spectacular series. The BDS has been the proving ground for the Madison Saracen downhill team since its inception and we know only too well how important the series is for the development of British talent. As such, we are very happy to be able to help the series to continue to deliver exceptional racing on home soil.
Ever since Madison acquired the Saracen brand in 2009, a key focus was to create a great quality, well-engineered but affordable downhill bike for UK riders. It is a great opportunity and perfect synergy for Saracen to be title sponsor for the 2013 British Downhill Series. Dominic Langan – CEO
This is amazing news for riders, spectators, media, and the team behind the BDS. It’s only natural the British National Series has joined forces with Saracen a British brand. Saracen brings in important investment and support of the series allowing the BDS to take the series up another level and deliver an outstanding series for all involved. Si Paton – BDS Race Director
The 2013 Saracen British Downhill Series will consist of five rounds, all of which will be streamed online via a live video feed with the combined talents of Extreme.com and Freecaster – a first for a national series and another example of the quality of the event.
