Not sure what was going on in Champery but Swiss rider Marielle Saner took the women’s race, maybe using a bit of ‘local’ knowledge, and Matti Lehikoinen took his second world cup victory of his career. It appears that rain definitely played its part. We wait to hear the full story, but let me tell you this, Sam Hill won qualifying by 14.5 seconds! Whoa. And Vouilloz qualified something like fourth or fifth then must have lost it in the bad weather. The men’s top ten is a really weird one…UK boy Adam Brayton in 6th, Josh Bryceland 7th and Ben Reid out there in 11th. Minnaar was way off. I am sure that there are plenty of stories. Peaty takes the leaders jersey. Crazy stuff.
