Today sees the launch of the new RideForMichael.org website ahead of the gala dinner and fundraising evening which will be taking place next Friday (13th September) at the North Lakes Hotel in Penrith, Cumbria.

The website is full of information on more forthcoming fundraising events, and you can buy Ride For Michael T’s, with all proceeds directly benefitting the recovery of Michael Bonney after his life changing crash that he had in March earlier this year.

Up for auction there are some amazing items, some things that money usually can’t buy. And don’t worry if you’re not going to be at the auction yourself because even though you might not be able to bid on those particular lots (unless you can persuade someone who is going to bid for you), there are a whole pile more items that will be auctioned off online before the end of the month, and those lots will be just as impressive. For example we already know that Peaty’s lid from this year’s World Champs will be up for grabs (and this will be the first helmet Peaty has ever let go of!), plus there will be a signed copy of the legendary Shaun Palmer shot taken by Malcolm Fearon during the 1997 World Champs in Chateau d’Oex, Switzerland. This shot graced the cover of Dirt issue 7, and even to this day it’s still one of our favourite covers. What do you reckon?
