Back in March 2013 Michael Bonney suffered a life changing injury, which left him bound to a wheelchair as a tetraplegic – paralysed from the neck down, requiring a ventilator to breathe. You can read more here.
Subsequently a trust was set up in his name and is helping Michael adjust to living under new circumstances, Ride for Michael.
For 2015 the Ride for Michael trust have started to focus their efforts on getting Michael an Off-Road Wheelchair, to help get him out in the hills. Michael is missing be up on the hill and in amongst the action, the chair would help him to get to the side-line of races along and also to help him get out and about and not just bound to smooth tracks.
If you’d like to help Michael get out and about on the hill you can donate money here.
