Richie Rude and Cecile Ravanel crowned EWS champions

What an incredible season

Cecile Ravanel and Richie Rude have been crowned as EWS champions after the FInale Ligure round.

Ravanel had already cemented her victory yet finished off her season in style with another win – only Tracy Moseley could stop her completing a perfect season. Rude on the other hand still had work to do but rode a wiley race and finished second behind Martin Maes. Rude becomes the first ever back-to-back men’s champion at just 21 years old.

In the men’s rankings, Damien Oton finished second and Jerome Clementz third, for the women it was Isabeau Courdurier who tailed Ravanel with Anita Gehrig third – congrats to Katy Winton and Bex Baraona who finished sixth and seventh respectively for Britain.
