With the World Cup season having just two rounds left the migration from dirt to concrete is starting to happen in global DH racing. This weekend Prague hosts it’s Downtown Race, bringing together riders from around the world it looks like another bonkers course if you check the 3D course walk.
We will have the live feed of the event over on live.mpora.com and there will be edits dropping from Drift capturing the rider’s view and a race edit next week.
There’s a mixed crop of riders heading to this race and with a good portion of 4X riders it will be interesting to see if racers opt for 4X hardtails or full suspension bikes to take on the streets. 4X World Champion Tomas Slavik took on the Bratislava City Downhill race on his hardtail and qualified first so he’s surely set on riding a hardtail.
Just got off the blower from Olly ‘cover star’ Wilkins at Upgrade and he confirmed Bernard Kerr is heading out for the race. Looks like he will be riding his M4X but will have the DH bike ready to roll should the course call for it.
Here’s the schedule and the course map, oh and it’s free to watch if you happen to be in Prague this weekend!
