Parkour Ride this weekend in London

Parkour ride 2014

The weather might not have turned just yet but there is a new race on this weekend in that London and it looks pretty interesting! It’s called the Parkour Ride (not sure why are there are no runners flinging themselves around) and it’s taking place at Tobacco Dock this Saturday. It’s basically a race up and down the multi storey carpark in a head to head format, there are a bunch of Pro riders racing including Liam Phillips of BMX World Champion fame and Sam Pilgrim of toothless dirt jumping! Along with a few from the road and fixed gear world to mix things up a bit. If you are in the capital and want to get down there then you can pick up some tickets, £16.50 for adults and £5.50 for children. There will be live music from Red Bull, food from Death by Burrito as well as bars, shops stalls and a whole host of screaming fans!

The course is spread over 6 levels of the carpark and all entrants had the choice of riding a BMX, MTB, Road or Fixed bike and this, according to the organisers are the advantages of each.

We are heading down to check it out so we’ll give you an update next week on how it went.
