James Brown once sang similar lyrics about his dad and a bag. But Martin “Oggy” Ogden is singing it about his new Haro Slopestyle machine, “The Porter”.
We don’t hear much about Haro these days but this bike looks like a nice simple single pivot machine, the website says “The Porter is about as close to an exact replica to the complete bike that Eric Porter rides. We used most of the same parts he uses on his own bike. Yes, it’s expensive! But like good wine and fast cars, most of the finer things in life are expensive.”
Vague news for UK fans though, I just contacted the UK importers of Haro Bikes and they said “As yet we are unsure if we will be bringing The Porter into the UK”
UpDate: Just spoke to Adam at HaroBikes and he says The Porter will be coming to the UK, the first shipment due in before Christmas with a guide price of around £2200/£2300 which seems like a good deal.
