NPS AE Forest this weekend

I know it’s only Tuesday but here’s a heads up to the weekends events and beyond.

This weekend 25th/26th April sees the first round of the NPS series at Ae Forest. Gee Atherton and Brendan. Entries have closed and the event is full, but if you fancy going to watch then cruise on up, parking and spectating is always free.

All the info on the NPS webber here.

The Irish NPS series has already begun, with round 2 in Dunmanway Co Cork which is on saturday and sunday week. Redbull will also be on board for the event bringing the arch, the truck, the wigwam, the lovely ladies and of course free redbull…

Just a quick reminder that this Saturday is gate practice at Redhill and then Sunday is the FREE Opening Session. People are welcome to camp overnight at £3 per person, just bring beer and bbq! There’s always a good vibe at Redhill, and the lazy sunny evenings are a speciality for us. Beautiful views across the Severn, and dirt jumps that can be ridden even in the lowest of light.

The bad news is that the uplift is dead. However that didn’t deter over 70 riders pushing up again and again yesterday.

The track is in perfect condition after the recent rains, and is riding at warp speed: Charlie Phillips decided that the main triple is not big enough and over jumped it by a good 8ft to flat. I did a similar thing, over-jumping the large step-up to landing on the face of the table into the twin berm! Not the best course of action considering I shouldn’t even be riding with the fractured ribs and collarbone I picked up at UK Bikepark. But it was too hard to resist, seeing a train of 20 odd riders come ripping down the track – I had to nip home and get my bike!
