Yeti have been off the DH scene in the UK for a year now, but the plan is bring back a team for 2008. Looks like they’re after some hot UK talent to ride the Yeti 303 (which won’t be free by the way, cheap ,yes). If you’re interested then read on.

Heres what Team manager Colin Williams had to say:

We’ve got a couple of riders in mind for the team, but we’d like to get some CVs in from riders looking for a new bike for the new season. Plan is to go with a 3-5 rider set up.

Some things to bear in mind.

They won’t be getting a Yeti 303 free!! But we’ll be doing you a killer deal on it, so you should be able to sell it at the end of the season for a profit if you look after it.

It’ll be a Yeti team, but its run by us, so you’ll be running a 303 with Fox 40s, Shimano 08 spec, Reverse bar / stem, hubs etc. The rest of the stuff / kit etc is still being discussed. But it’ll be pimp.

This is a UK race team, so you’ll need to be racing a lot in the UK to get the brand coverage. We don’t want people who just do the odd race.

I don’t want emails from people who can’t even be bothered to do it properly. If you’re going to take the time to email, please make sure you can string a sentence together, if you can’t spell, get it checked……. I don’t want to read an email asking for sponsorship where you spell Yeti wrong.

if that sounds harsh, sorry, but you wouldn’t believe some of the crap we get sent.

We need to know what you can do for Yeti. Where will you race next year, how do you think you’ll get on. What results have you got to back that up etc. etc. I don’t need pictures of you riding or copies of every result you’ve ever had.
