Moroccan Adventure

I went to Morocco once with a mate when I was 17. We didn’t have our bikes with us and were hassled for 6 hours into buying two carpets each.

I’m pretty sure you won’t have to buy any carpets on this adventure.

Moroccan Adventure,

Morocco – what can we say. People used to think that the world ended once you went further south than here. What flowmtb discovered is not only does the world keep turning, but the locals’ mule tracks make for some awesome biking trails.

Flowmtb ran their first mountain bike holidays in Morocco in 2007, and reckon it’s set to become a firm favourite. Guy Bowden of flowmtb said ‘We found some of the best trails we’ve ever ridden and had some incredible experiences. I can’t wait to go back with more keen adventurers.’

As well as the flowmtb guides, there are local drivers to get you to the best trails, so you don’t need to slog up fireroads; plus they take everyone’s bags onto the next hotel. They also provide lots of handy tips and info on local culture and sights, and driving on some of these roads can be as exhilarating as riding the trails!
Flowmtb pick you up at Marrakech airport, then have the next day in Marrakech to sort out bikes and sightsee. They’ll point you in the direction of must-see attractions and organize dinner so you can experience the local cuisine and get to know the other riders. You then head out into the Atlas Mountains in search of adventure. All in all there are 3 nights in Marrakech, 5 nights in the mountains, 6 days biking, 1 day sightseeing and/or fettling.

They won’t be taking any more than 10 people on this Morocco bike tour, and will have two guides. The trails are very challenging, and many have a high consequence if you go wrong. This holiday is for experienced mountain bikers who are happy on exposed trails and on rocky rooty descents.

If you’re up for an adventure and like exciting challenging riding then this is the trip for you.
