MORE NEWS FROM FORT WILLIAM….

The build up….By Big Bad Bob

Its begun no turning back its happening! Work has started ,yesterday(Friday), on village construction.

The site office “Rare Towers, Ice station Zebra, The house of horrors, Mission control” arrived and the 1st grandstand (yes there’s 2 of them!) is being assembled. Its massive. Monday morning is when the preverbal hits the fan good and proper. Marquees start arriving, a lot of volunteers arrive and the fleet of Nissan vehicles.

The forestry have been busy and built some dirt jumps as an extension to the skills park area. They are in a big sandy borrow pit area which has some potential for some sneaky hip/drop building. 3 lines have been built small rollers, medium tables and a big line. So tomorrow I think I might bring my hardtail in and see if I can sneak over and have a wee test ride.

In other news I went to see the Red hot chilly peppers on Thursday night. It was magic Biffy Clyro supporting ,mon the biffy! Loads of people lots of flashy lights and some great tunes. Bit of an adventure getting there though my mates car broke down in the middle of Glasgow! But the AA came to the rescue and it made it home..just!
