Mont Sainte Anne Worlds Start list

The complete list for the official timed practise session on Thursday.

Okay, we’re trying to work out how the final race run will be decided. Last years results? The overall rankings? The overall results?
Have a read of UCI rule 9.2.038:

9.2.038

Riders’ start order is drawn up on the basis of the last published UCI individual mountain bike classification in the following formats and categories:

a) XCO Men Elite, XCO Women Elite, XCO Men under 23, XCO Women under 23;

b) DHI Men Elite, DHI Women Elite, for the official timed session and the finals (the best placed rider starting last);

c) 4X Men, 4X Women, for qualifying rounds only.

For the XCO Men Elite, XCO Women Elite, XCO Men Under 23, XCO Women Under 23 events (point a) and the 4X Men and Women events (point c), for riders not ranked in the UCI individual mountain bike classification, start order will in the first instance alternate between nations in the order of the placing of the nation in the preceding World Championships. And then for unclassified nations lots will be drawn to determine the order of each rider. Within each team, the start order will be determined and communicated by the national federations.

For the DHI Men Elite and Women Elite events (point b), the order of riders not ranked in the UCI individual mountain bike classification shall be determined by drawing lots.

For the DHI Men Juniors and Women Juniors events, the start order of teams during the official timed session and the final is determined by the placing of the nation in the preceding world championship.

Then an alternating sequence of unranked nations shall be determined by drawing lots.

Within each team, the start order will be determined and communicated by the national federations.

For all DHI events (Elite Men, Elite Women, Men Juniors and Women Juniors), riders are required to ride in the official timed session on pain of disqualification from the final. All riders who start the official timed session shall qualify for the final.

For the XCO Men Juniors and Women Juniors events, the start order of teams shall be based by the placing of the nation in the preceding world championship. Within each team, the start order will be determined and communicated by the national federation. Then an alternating sequence of unranked nations shall be determined by drawing lots.
