Wednesday lunchtime here at the Full Monty St Anne, it’s raining and pit row is starting to take shape. I haven’t seen many riders yet, they’re probably couped up in their hotel rooms playing Nintendo or Binatone or something.
Mont Saint Anne is a funny place, I don’t know if it’s just me and sleep deprevation but everything looks big, brash and Canadian, you know massive trucks, big roads, neon signs large people. Yet they all speak French. The official language of Quebec is French. All the signs are in French. You think, I know I’m in Canada but I feel like I’m in France. It’s weirding me out.
The press room is also quiet. Lucas (haircut 100), Lawlor (mtbcut) and Ally (Ben Reids mechanic) vegging out in front of the TV.
