Fancy a Swedish adventure? The Maxiavalanche, a mass start downhill race a bit like the Mega, travels to Åre, Sweden on August 20th and 21st for the round three.

3rd stage of EUROP CUP MAXIAVALANCHE: after VALLNORD in Andorra and SAMOENS in France, Sweden and more precisely ÅRE will receive the best MTB riders for the 3rd time, on August 20th and 21st 2010.

The formula Europ Cup MAXIAVALANCHE constitutes a Must for MTB Alpine competition with mass starts of several hundreds of riders from the highest point of the resort and an arrival judged after 1.000 m of downhill that the best riders cover in about twenty minutes.

There is a lot of pleasure to be taken on a MAXIAVALANCHE for all riders equipped with a bike with suspension, full-face helmet and protections.

The Maxiavalanche Europ Cup gathers Pros and of Amateurs ; the nation most represented on the top classification remains France followed by Switzerland, Great- Britain and Spain. Scandinavia is represented with Sauli HJERPPE from Finland which won a 2nd place in Matsers 30 in the general classification 2009 ; this year, he was unlucky with a fall in Vallnord and lost many points on this stage. He will have in heart to make well in Åre.

Amateurs are very welcome, the formula MAXIAVALANCHE gives possibility to all riders to make their race in the best conditions of track, security and to learn to be more competitive by approaching the best riders as Remy ABSALON (Commencal) actual leader of the classification, André SIMON (Sunn Montgenèvre) who is his competitor, aswell as Franck PAROLIN (Rivierabike.com) winner of the Europ Cup in 2009 and second in Åre.
The resort of Åre is fantastic to take good time as e it gives numerous special tracks, its Bike Park is splendid and served by numerous skilifts.
It is even possible to rent Downhill bikes with all the equipment for those who would like to launch into this new gliding sport which makes rage worldwide and takes consequently almost so much place as the ski in winter.
