Maribor Weather and schedule

It’s common knowledge that weather reports are hugely innacurate, but being British that’s not going to stop us providing you with comprehensive met office data at every stop of the World Cup in 2010.

Furthermore, in an attempt to cover up the fact we haven’t had any of Billy’s comedy pit videos due to the passport incident, I’ve included a brief guide to the Maribor Downhill track and the weekend’s schedule to pass the time.

Venue: MARIBOR

It’s been eight months since the World Cup circus came to a ball-bustingly good finale in Schladming last year. As a first stop on the 2010 World Cup, Maribor is a testing, high speed track. Riding like a rollercoaster up top before firing riders out of the woods and onto the piste, the infamous rock garden approaches. Having taken a beating from the weather over the years, these slabs have grown in stature and will no doubt provide plenty of spectacle over the coming days (see for example: Josh) . More high speed hits follow, testing riders’ winter training before the all important sprint to the finish.

With rain forecast over the next few days and Barel out injured, the first round could well throw up a few surprises.
