Les Gets and Morzine to be fully open in time for Crankworx

They're open later too

Lifts across the Portes du Soleil region are opening early to coincide with the CRANKWORX LES GETS festival.

The lifts in Les Gets and Morzine will be fully open on June 11 – four days before the start of Crankworx and a week earlier than last year. On top of this Les Gets will be open for the next two weekends (May 28/29 and June 4/5) as a warm up. The full Portes du Soleil region will open on June 24 for with the annual Passportes du Soleil event.

It previously only looked like Le Pleney, Chavannes and Mont Chery would be opened during the festival, which led to fears of overcrowding due to the expected large number of riders turning up, but hopefully the extra lifts (Zore and Super Morzine) will disperse riders and help with the smooth running of the festival.

It has also been confirmed that the lifts will be staying open later than usual, until 11 September, which is great for local businesses and those wanting to sneak in a late-season holiday.
