Negotiations are still ongoing but it looks like Crankworx will take place in Les 2 Alpes.
You say “Les 2” I say “Les Deux”, as long as you don’t say “Les Denis” then we’re all singing from the same freeride hymn sheet.
I like the format, five different events cumulating with the Mountain Of Hell, if you do all five you could walk off with ten thousand Euros!
It all kicks off on the 9th July and ends on the 15th.
Sounds like a good excuse for a road trip, especially with the Megavalanche being about the same time (will update with date when I find it)
Les 2 Alpes is more than ever the place to be for mountain bikers.
For the first time this summer, the French resort will host Crankworx. It will take place from 9th to 15th July 2012 and be organised by Les 2 Alpes Tourist Office and Ayton Concept.
Ayton Concept has chosen to work with 2 well-known riders, Pierre Edouard Ferry (dualstyle and dualclimb shaper and designer) and Yannick Granieri (slopestyle designer).
The following events will take place during that week:
Dual Style
Down Hill
Dual Climb
Slope Style
Mountain of Hell (13th edition of the Mountain of Hell, which is now part of the Crankworx week)
Up to €10 000 prize money, and at the end, one winner, the King of Les 2 Alpes Crankworx (4 best results out of 5 competitions)
