Both events will take place on a revamped track at Moelfre, just 15 minutes west of Oswestry. Riders will be treated to a fast, challenging and technical track that is tricky enough to keep the experienced racers happy whilst also being fully rollable to keep things fun.
Whilst entries for the National Champs are now closed, riders can still enter Sunday’s National round here or on the day. There are categories for racers with or without British Cycling licenses and no previous racing experience is needed to enter the Big Fun category.
Saturday’s National Champs will see Scott Beaumont defend his title which is under attack from young guns and old dogs alike. Luke Cryer, the Hudson brothers, Will Evans, Charlie Curry, Duncan Ferris, Alex Metcalfe and more will all have their eyes on the Champs jersey. With reigning champion Natasha Bradley not able to attend, the women’s title will be up for grabs.
On Sunday, Round 5 of the British 4X Series will see Will Evans and Tyde D’Souza battling to hold their series leads, with fierce competition to push them from the top spots. In the men’s field, Evans’ lead will be under attack from round four winner Alex Metcalfe and a host of other fast elites. In the women’s field, Tyde will be chased down by Megan Wherry who is hungry for her first national win.
