Fort William Friday part II

The sun is still a shining and the mozzies seemed to have buggered off. The track is running really fast, quite a few folk have binned it at some stage including Dirt rider Ralph “wreckin ball” Jones during his helmet cam run (I’m trying to upload the footage but the inter beam signal is cutting out more than Baby Blue on a bad day). The frozen peas have come out to treat a few injuries, amongst those spotted with a bag of bird eyes finest were, Stevie Smith, Josh Bryceland and Baltic Ben Reid. Marc Beaumont says his ribs are a lot better after Andorra, and Brendog’s shoulder is all strapped up.

After the weather and the mozzies some talk was of skin suits and whether or not to bring them out of the closet. So far only Mojo have come up with the goods.

The fabric from this puppy apparently costs over a 1000 quid a roll, and the roll aint that long.

There’s also more photographers and videographers and also some other ographers than you can shake a Scotish stick at. Stu and the guys at Mtb cut have a Richard and Judy style sofa set up for interviews on the big screen, Clay Porter continues to document this years world cup series, the Focus guys have been lugging their camera dolly up and down the track, and Victor Lucas and John Gibbson had a fight over a lens cap and a doughnut.

“The photo biz these days at MTB world Cups is getting quite competitive these days with all the digital chimps out there.
World cup veteran lensman Gary “Flipper” Perkin marks his spot and stakes his claim….This spot has been done now move on all you poachers!” Sven Martin.

The restaurant at the top of the gondola is called the Snow Goose. It’s named after this patch of snow above it which some say resembles a “snow goose”.

Bee keepers convention.

If you can tell me who’s tattoo this is you can win a prize, send your “I know whose tattoo that is..” guesses to [email protected] and I’ll pick a winner.
