Results are just in from day one of the Enduro World Series here in Samoens, France.
A long day almost made much longer by torrential rains this morning got off to a bumpy start with storms rolling in, but once the air cleared racing resumed and, although the day was cut down from four to three stages, things went swimmingly. In fact, if anything riders and spectators were left wishing for a spot of cool air to roll in as it seriously hotted up towards the end of the afternoon!
Big news of the day was Anne Caroline Chausson dropping out of competition after the first stage due to illness, and one male racer being disqualified at the end of the day having been spotted practicing the course in the week running up to the event – a big non non in French enduro racing.
