Here’s the press release…
Robin Wallner European Champion!
The season hadn’t started as he had hoped, Robin expected to be a regular top 20 contender in the World Cup circuit and to offer a few visits in the top 10, but in the sport things don’t always happen as you wish… In Val di Sole with 18th place in the first round, Robin knew that things were going in the right direction… He left Italy with strong motivation and headed off for this event that he had set as one of his season goals, The European Championship, held in a country close to home, Norway. Things weren’t supposed to be easy, with the 2009 Champion Nick Beer, and the on-form French riders Damien Spagnolo and Romain Paulhan, Robin knew he would have to pull a big run. The Swede from Team SUNN MONTGENEVRE made a perfect race and ended up winning leaving second place to Nick Beer, winner the previous year.
