There are some big players signing up for this year’s Enduro Des Nations, with Brian Lopes heading up an all-star US team and enduro specialist Remy Absalon leading out the French contingent. We have word of some big names from Canada rocking up too.

Are you strong enough to fight for your flag?

The Concept

This is very simple. 3 Enduro pilots under the same national jersey, who will fight for their country.

Why?
Because all the “major” sports like Motocross, Trials, Rugby, Soccer, Karting or Golf organize such an event each year, with competitors coming from every part of the world, representing their country.

When?
Take an appointment for the 25th and 26th of July 2009 for this second edition (the revenge!!!), taking place in Vars for the Enduro Series Stage 3 and nowhere else.

How?
Team of 3 pilots, each one of them coming from the same country and representing it, will take place at the start of the Vars stage in Vars : The Pure Ride. These teams will run for their nation. They will have to make the fastest overall time of the ten races during the weekend. The fastest team in the world will win the Trophy, bringing it home for their nation.

The Battle
Exceptionnally for the E.MTN event, an eleventh race will appear on the summit of Vars resort. Only the members of the national teams, will run. This will be the biggest moment of the weekend with no exception, and it will give us the final results.

Over the top
A minimum 5000 euros prize money will be distributed to the pilots on the podium.

What is Enduro?
This is a way to return back to the roots of Mountain Bike, to its real spirit… During one full weekend of racing, the riders are alone, competing against the chronometer. They have to fulfill 10 races, representing around 10 000 meters of downhill in total, over three different tracks called bordered tracks.

Where?
In Vars resort located in the French southern Alps. The Enduro practice uses the chairlifts of the resorts, and the pilots are racing through the most beautiful Alpine tracks.

Who?
The best French pilots (Absalon, Balaud, Clementz…) will, of course, attend the and compete with the best European (Golay, Wildhaber, Sorrell…). United States and Canada are also really motivated on bringing the Trophy back home and will come with strong teams. There will be some superstars around here…
