Graham Foot has just paid us a visit, bit of a blast form the past, you guys might remember him for his excellent job with the KIS 4X track back in the really early days of Dirt. Well he’s now back in the game (not that he ever really left) importing new (to the UK) Polish brand, Dartmoor Bikes (not to be confused with the shop Dartmoor Cycles).
So he brought by some of their goods for us to check out and the initial thoughts are really good. It’s mainly a dirt jump/street brand with a little freeride/slopestyle stuff. The finish on the products was very good and we were all impressed with the quality and the lightness of the frames, especially the steel ones. With good colours, clean graphics and some interesting engineering design as well.
They seem to make everything you could possibly want for your bike, in every possible colour, all at a good price. I’m not sure that everything is available in this country yet, but it soon should be, so they are definitely a brand to keep your eye on in the coming months. They’re available from Graham’s shop www.slam69.co.uk. Any dealers interesting in stocking the brand should contact www.locker55.co.uk. And if you re wondering why a Polish company is called Dartmoor (if like us you thought it might mean something cool in Polish you’d be wrong), apparently the owner is a big fan of Dartmoor the place, takes all his holidays there. So there you go, now you know.
There is a pretty impressive range of products…in any colour you want (almost).
Very interesting hydroformed steel chainstays.
