Canberra WC:Flipper’s 5-a-day

It’s been a long day for Flipper what with the 4x ending at something like 9.30pm, add to that the fact that it’s been raining and I’ve been hassling him for photos. Well I did post him a six pack of 4x so hope he’s got that.

King of the Hill or Hill Street Blues? depends where you live i
guess .. but me reckons that when Auntie Shelia comes to visit she’ll
have a hard time finding this particular street …

17 year old Caroline Buchanan hails from Canberra and the delight in
winning her first 4X in front of thousands of local fans is fairly
apparent here … ’nuff said.

For all those who doubted the Canberra World Cup I give you image
CA08_03389 … Jared Graves on his way to winning his 2nd 4X of the
year .. it may not be Olympic Gold but a win in front of a home crowd
like might help somewhat. 5 Aussie BMXers on the mens’ podium here …

DH practice today was all about fine tuning and fettling … here
Andrew Neethling applies a new sort of semi-slick cut to his Kendas.
Needles is feeling good despite some bad swelling to his left hand
after a crash on day one.

Greg Minnaar will it be his day? Or will one of his Santa Cruz
Syndicate team mates stand atop the podium tomorrow? Nathan Rennie was
quickest in timed runs 1 hundredth of a second ahead of Steve Peat.
Given the Aussie passion here it would be a brave man to bet against
“Beast” over Mr Min and Peaty. Or will it be Sam Hill who overcomes
his dislike for the course and all but clinches the World Cup before
his favourite course – Schladming?
