Going into the penultimate round (round 6) at Stromol, Canberra the scores on the world cup doors look like this:
1/ HILL Samuel 1020
2/ MINNAAR Greg 974
3/ ATHERTON Gee 877
4/ PEAT Steve 822
5/ KOVARIK Chris 463
With 250 points available at Canberra and 250 at Schladming it’s certainly going to be close with the top four.

The womens is a close call to, 83 points separating the top two.
In the 4x Rafa “I’m riding the good luck wave” Alvarez leads Guido Tschugg by 100 points.
In the womens 4x Anneke Beerten has a whopping 470 point lead, so looks favourite to take the title.
Big Mike has been totting up the accumulated downhill race times for the men. This is the times after 5 rounds.
Hill 17:26.34
Minnaar 17:27.85
Atherton 17:35.30
Peaty 17:36.29
Just been checking the race entries for Canberra and they seem well down. I counted 71 for the blokes and 21 for the women. I’m not sure how qualifying will work, usually it’s the top 80. Will all 71 automatically qualify? Will it be a percentage of all entries? Will more turn up on the day?
Here’s a vid I found on the Tube showing a National race at Stromolo. (Gives you an idea of how barren it is.)
