You’ve probably all seen the gruesome crash footage of Syndicate rider Josh “Miami” Bryceland binning it big time in the rock garden section at Maribor. I’m not sure I like watching or posting crash videos, it’s kind of like rubber necking on some ones private agony.

I spoke to Josh this morning to ask how he was doing and if he minded me posting the videos, he said “awesome, send me the link!”
He told me that he was waiting for a scan on Sunday to assess the damage, but at the moment he has a swollen knee and thigh, his quad muscles were okay but he said his dentist won’t be too happy as he had just replaced his capped tooth.

Up till then his weekend was flying, qualifying in 9th place and bang on the pace. You’ve got to remember though he’s still a junior, so to be running in the top ten is pretty special.

Miami told me his race run was amazing and really smooth in the top section, coming in to the rocks he said he hardly braked, flew through the first half and then got a “bit of a swop on” hit the rock jump at an angle then launched over the bars and hit the ground hard.

We wish Miami a speedy recovery and hopefully he’ll be racing round two in Andorra at the end of May.
