Brook Macdonald retires from 2013 World Cup season

Still flying in PMB the Worlds was Brook’s last race for 2013

We’ve had word from Bulldog’s management that he will miss the last two rounds of the World Cup season to get surgery on his shoulder. Brook’s been struggling with this injury for a few races now and it looks like it’s time to get something done about it in time for next season.

According to the press release Brook clipped a tree on his run setting him back to 24th place overall, it’s a physical track and all that pedalling and pumping will no doubt take it’s toll on not just legs but shoulders too.

For MacDonald the decision to return home has not been easy, but after getting further advice on the rotator cuff tear in his left shoulder, it’s clear that he needs immediate surgery ahead of a recovery period of a few months. With an earlier start to the next World Cup season in 2014, the team supports Brook’s decision to head home. Martin Whiteley, 23 Degrees.

We wish him the best in his op and recovery and look forward to see him slaying it next season. If you missed the team’s latest video then check it out here.
