Gwin takes his second win of the season, but this time he was only 0.834 ahead of Danny Hart
Although we didn’t end up knocking Gwin off the top spot it was a great weekend for the British men, six in the top ten. Sam Dale put in what must be the best run of his life to make it into that top ten, and Greg Williamson also put in a stormer to take 17th. It’s great to also see Joe Smith in the top ten, and Bryceland getting the kind of result that his talent should be getting. The same can be said for Sam Hill, his podium today should surely silence those who thought he was no longer on the pace.
The rain didn’t stop the atmosphere from being as legendary as it always is, especially when Danny Hart came so close to knocking Gwin off the hot seat. Commiserations go out to fastest qualifier Marc Beaumont who somehow managed to seriously bend his rear disc rotor somewhere near the top of the track.
