£50k’s worth of bikes stolen from Stoke bike shop

Awful news for Spokes

Sad news from Spokes bike shop in Stoke as they are reporting having £50k worth of bikes stolen over the weekend.

The bikes, collectively worth between £40,000 and £50,000, included a Specialized Enduro, an Orbea Rallon X10, an Orbea Occam 29TR, a Stanton Switchback, a Yeti 575, a Santa Cruz V10, an Orbea Occam carbon AM330, a Niner WFO and an Ibis Mojo HD3 frame.

Spokes, Silverdale, has released this photo of the bikes, hopefully they can be made too hot too handle:

The shop said: “In the early hours of Saturday morning (8th April) the shop has been broken into and we have had to what we believe 10 Bikes and one frame STOLEN! All which are mountain bikes. Police believe it was around 3am, we are currently working with the police and surrounding CCTV footage to track the responsible down!

“I can not begin to explain our feelings right now, devastated doesn’t come close. Please anyone with any information at all no matter how big or small please contact us or the police straight away.”

Some of the bikes have very distinctive marking and parts that should be enough to raise suspicions if you see them on local selling sites. Keep your eyes peeled.

Spokes are friends off Dirt and are hosting one of the Bigger Slice of British Pie premieres on April 21. Please help them spread the word as far as possible.
